Director of Photography: Adam Jandrup
Adam M. Jandrup is a Director of Photography based in New York and Copenhagen, Denmark, but his work has taken him all over the world. Adams interest in cinematography started at a young age –sitting in the darkness of the movie theater and following his director father around numerous film sets. His creative drive led him to still photography, graphic design and ultimately filmmaking. To pursue his passion in cinematography Adam worked as a best boy and gaffer on a large number of features, short films, music videos and commercials. Here he developed a strong artistic and technical insight into the art of lighting for motion pictures.
Since 2004 Adam has shot Tv-series and documentaries – for the national Danish broadcasting network (Danmarks Radio) as well as numerous short films, music videos, art films and commercials for clients such as GE Capital, Nokia, the Discovery Channel and Red Cross. In 2009 he was nominated for an Emmy for his Cinematography in the feature documentary, PoliWood, directed by Barry Levinson.
Adam has worked with a broad range of directors, from all over the world and shot on all formats – making him a truly accomplished DOP, while always maintaining the curious, creative drive, that led him behind the camera in the first place.
